Ireland’s Own Altamont Pass Set For The Irish Midlands? Well, Maybe…

Today’s signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Irish and British governments, which will see Irish wind farms export energy directly to British electricity consumers, is headline news for many UK and Irish media outlets. The progress of negotiations leading to today’s signing has been tracked by this blog and news reports in the UK suggest that there are some conflicting interpretations around who will actually benefit from the proposal.
