GRE’s Guide to the Various Government Incentive Schemes for Renewable Energy

Green Rhino Energy (GRE) has produced an informative guide to the various government incentive schemes that have been used to support the renewable energy sector. As GRE suggest, the  success or failure of renewable energy individual electricity sectors across states can differ greatly and is a result of government policy rather than natural potential. This contention is supported by my own research into renewable energy policy in the European Union. GRE have divided these supports into three categories: Production-based Incentives, Investment-based Incentives and Robust Legal Frameworks.

GRE’s full analysis can be accessed here.
