EnviroHunterists: A Merging of Values to Fossil Foods and much more on insidethegreenhouse.net

Hosted by the University of Colorado-Boulder, Inside The Greenhouse: Utilizing Media To Communicate Positive Solutions For Climate Change  is a course that seeks to ” deepen our understanding of how issues associated with climate change are/can be communicated, by creating artifacts through interactive theatre, film, fine art, performance art, television programming, and appraising as well as extracting effective methods for multimodal climate communication”. Work from this course feeds in the ‘Inside the Greenhouse‘ project, also hosted by the University of Colorado-Boulder.

The projects main objectives are:

1. To generate multimodal compositions on the subject of climate change

2. Engage with various dimensions and issues associated with sustainability

3. Produce and distribute the ‘Inside the Greenhouse’ program

The project has already produced a number of thought-provoking videos that address a range of topics: from our dependence on fossil fuels to produce the foods we eat, to a meditation by one hunter on his experiences hunting and its role in the environment. Another video looks at “CIRES: Environmental Responsibility Through Technology”. All are highly recommended!
